Introducing Stan Gruszynski
Stan Gruszynski is a resident of rural Marinette County, he lives with his wife Paula on the family farm property where he was raised and farmed with his parents. He was appointed by President Obama as USDA Rural Development State Director for Wisconsin in August of 2009 and served in that capacity through the tenue of the Obama Administration. Prior to his appointment he directed the Rural Leadership and Community Development program for the Global Environmental Management Center at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. From 1984-1994, he represented the 71st District in the Wisconsin State Assembly and served on both the Rural Affairs and Natural Resources committees. He also served for six years as the Chair of the Assembly Colleges and Universities committee. He has been recognized and cited for his leadership and civic engagement strategies in support of rural communities, public education, and social action. He is currently a member of several statewide conservation, environmental and citizen advocacy organizations. He holds a bachelor's degree in Sociology/Political Science from Northland College in Ashland Wisconsin. |
