In 2007 & 2008, Alliance interns went door-to-door in communities around the Chequamegon Bay to spread the word about the benefits of energy conservation and efficiency. The interns traded homeowners energy efficient light bulbs for their old, energy-hogging incandescents. They also distributed energy-saving tips and resources, as well as free passes for the BART bus. Keep an eye out for the Energy Advocates later this summer, when we'll be providing free basic home energy audits to help homeowners find the most cost-effective ways to reduce their energy use and save money!
