Renewables are clean and non-polluting. The choice is obvious, it’s inevitable. Renewable energy is here to stay, it is our future.
Renewable energy is the future. Why? Because it’s renewable and the alternative is not. It's just a matter of time. Fossil fuels will eventually run out if they don’t destroy life as we know it first. But even in our current time, fossil fuels are getting dirtier, more expensive to extract, more destructive when they leak, while renewables are getting cheaper. The lines have crossed. It is now cheaper to produce electricity from solar energy than to build a new coal plant, but money is only part of the equation.
The Chequamegon Bay Renewable Energy Group was established in 2014 as a collective impact project of a group of local people have pooled their talents and experience to advocate for a renewable energy future. Engineers, educators, entrepreneurs, and public servants make up this ever expanding group, in association with the Alliance for Sustainability.
