Green Team Network of Early Adopters of Sustainability
What is it? The Green Team Network of Early Adopters of Sustainability* was launched in March, 2007, to create synergy between organizations and businesses in the Chequamegon Bay who are committed to developing sustainable action plans that save money and reduce their contributions to global warming. With grant funding provided by the Otto Bremer Foundation, the network encouraged each business to create its own "green team", provided free technical and leadership training for benchmarking measurements, and brought people together to share successes and challenges. This network provides time, space, and training to solve problems.
Who joined the Network? In April, 2008, 18 organizations in the Chequamegon Bay including municipalities, restaurants, retail businesses, industry, educational institutions, tribal entities, mass transit, health care and government agencies have joined the network.
* The Green Team Network of Early Adopters of Sustainability was made possible with a 3 year grant awarded by the Otto Bremer Foundation to the Alliance for Sustainability.
