Tuesday, June 23, 2015

FREE Keynotes at 6:30 followed by lots of FREE Pie!!

What does it take to create a vibrant, resilient and sustainable community? It takes a commitment from citizens to be actively engaged in community.  We need to find the shared values that lead to consensus.

We need political, social, and environmental action within our region that works to create policies that protects local control and reflects of our commitment to our vested interest in this place we call home.  This year’s Pie & Politics event features several speakers who will share their experiences working to protect clean water, clean air and public health in their communities

Michele Merkel
is co-director of Food & Water Justice, the legal arm of Food & Water Watch.  Food & Water Justice uses the court system to advocate for positive change and provides legal support for Food & Water Watch’s mission to ensure that the food, water and fish we consume is safe, accessible and sustainably produced.
