Traversing Transformative Change
Wednesday, June 27th at the Big Top Chautauqua

Join The Alliance for Sustainability  in partner ship with Big Top Chautauqua at the 22nd anniversary of “Pie & Ponderings” as we explore the power of transformative change.  Jeremy Solin, Coordinator of ThinkWater, and the Alliance's own Christine Kelly reunite to ponder the power of holistic transformative change in these uncertain times drawing both from their personal lives and careers as sustainable community educators.  Jeremy and Christine, along with numerous colleagues, joined forces  in 2008 to create the Midwest Regional Collaborative for Sustainability Education (MRCSE) - a  learning community for environmental and sustainability education professionals interested exploring transformative learning practices. .

Music by Ojibwe flutist Frank "Anakwad" Montano Ojibwe Indian flute maker and musician Frank Montano of Red Cliff will perform Native American flute, sacred chants, nature music through the presentation.

Schedule of events include:

Introducing
Dr. Jeremy Solin

Dr. Solin is the Wisconsin ThinkWater Coordinator at the University of Wisconsin-Extension. ThinkWater (www.thinkwater.us) is a national movement of educators, students, managers, stewards, scientists, and citizens who think and care deeply about water.  Previous to ThinkWater, Jeremy developed and supported K-12 environmental and sustainability education programs in the Wisconsin Center for Environmental Education at UW-Stevens Point.  ​

​Dr. Christine Kelly

Dr. Kelly is an independent sustainability educational designer and the founder of the ReSource ReUse Store in Washburn, WI. She has worked for agency’s such as the California Department of Education Office of Environmental 
Education, Austin Independent School District, the University of California Long Beach, Marquette University, Wisconsin Center for Environmental Education and NASA Goddard.  Prior to her work as a consultant, Christine was the Associate Executive Director at Riveredge Nature Center in Newburg, Wisconsin.
