The 15th Annual Pie & Politics was a great success!  This year we hosted Pie and Politics in collaboration with the Midwest Regional Collaborative for Sustainability Education’s Unconference.  Four MRCSE Wise Elders  presented short talks on how we in community can discover abundance within the growing sense of scarcity in our world including John lkerd, Jan Sander, David Oates and Margaret Swedish. This was the 15th year that the Alliance for Sustainability has sponsored this annual, nonpartisan and free summer evening called “Pie & Politics” for everyone who wants to jawbone with humor and passion about how we can make our lives better in northern Wisconsin. In the great American soapbox tradition of the old Chautauquas, we feature a nationally-known speakers who can give us new ideas to ponder. We always enjoy a slice of homemade pie afterward and celebrate with friends in the idyllic setting on top of Mt. Ashwabay at Big Top Chautauqua.
